I here this expression often, 'set in my ways', or 'been here to long', or 'too old can't learn' and so on. I am sure that you have heard similar expressions. Right now, I don't get this. To me this is a self defeating message, not only one that is being expressed to others, but one that is believed by the expressor. Why do we keep these messages? Why do we believe them? I too have done this in the past. I strive to never do this again. You can too. I see now that adjusting this type of message within myself, has brought me joy that I would have otherwise missed. I have changed messages like these and found new discoveries within myself. These messages don't have to be permanent. They don't have to be your message. You can adjust them or in some cases replace them with a different message. When the message changes so do you.
